Optimum Oil Therapy by Soft-Sheen Carson
I just finished sampling the Soft-Sheen Carsons line Oil Therapy. I must say I was very surprised at the results. I personally used this product on my own at home and couldn’t wait to share my experience. Before we start, just let me tell about my hair. It is very thick, even though it’s relaxed I still have a hard time maintaining it on my own between salon visits. So I was a bit skeptical about this product not having any knowledge of it prior to this review.
I started with the Ultimate Recovery Shampoo; washing my hair as usual using my hands to massage my scalp and get a deep clean. The first thing I noticed is that my hair got softer and didn’t get tangled. I have a relaxer in my hair, and one thing I noticed when I wash my hair between salon visits is that my hair gets hard and tangled, the Ultimate Recovery Shampoo has changed the way I wash my hair. My hair felt like I was using a conditioner.
After using the shampoo I used the Ultimate Recover Conditioner. This product really added additional moisture and left my hair feeling very light. I then used the FeatherLight Oil. This product is like using a hot oil treatment that you don’t have to let sit in hot water before you use it. While my hair was still wet I evenly massaged a bit from scalp to tip, and put on a plastic shower cap. This oil treatment has alot of good stuff in it like coconut, olive oil, avocado, and jojoba oils really good stuff. This only stayed in for about 3-5 minutes then I rinsed it out. At this point I couldn’t belive the texture of my hair. It was soft, moisturized, and had a nice healthy sheen.
The last product I used was there Dry-Scalp Leave-In Treatment. I used this just on the scalp in place of using any heavy oils. I don’t blow dry my hair so I just gave myself a wrap to let my hair dry. The next morning I woke up to soft, shiny, manageable hair that was ready for me to flat iron or style as I pleased.
I hope this review has helped give you an inside experience on the Soft-Sheen Carson’s Oil Therapy line of hair care products. I was very impressed with the results. These products are also very affordable at just $3.99 per item.

i really love this product.The only problem is that i am in kuwait and it costs so much for it to get shipped over here so i cant use it the way i like.I think that should there should be a special price or something for the troops that are here.
well i have dreadlocks and i am now going to use this hot oil therapy for the first time. it is really hard to get products for natural hair, so we will see what happens.

Hi I have been using the optimum relaxer product. It is absolutely wonderful! Only thing is i use to purchase it from Clicks and they now say it is no longer available. Could you please direct me in the right direction, where i can find this product. I would be totally lost without it. As i find other relaxers really damaged my hair and this product is amazing. Please help me.

I LOVE Soft Sheen Carlson products!!!!!!! I have natural hair that is very very thick. I was on the verge of giving up and chopping all my hair off with scissors because it was so horrible after wearing weaves and not taking care of my hair in-between. I started using the ultimate recovery shampoo, conditioner and the shine booster about two years ago. Just let me tell you this stuff did wonders on my hair! My hair went from damaged, broken off, dry and brittle to soft, shiny, lots of body and manageable. The instant I started using the soft sheen carlson products I saw an immediate difference in my hair. Since I know how to wash blow-dry and curl my own hair, my hair looks better now then when I was going to the salon thanks to soft sheen carlson!!!
After all the great things I have heard about Soft Sheen Carlson products I am ready to find out on my own. Thank you Black folks Hair!!

I LOVE this Hair line!!!!! I have been using it since the beginning March of this year. And I love it..I have my mother, sisters and my grandmother (whose hair is natural) using this brand as well…I recommend these products for everyone to use…they are the best!!!!!
I have been using Optimum Oil Therapy for about six months. I started using it because I have really fine hair. Other products were just too strong on my weak, limp, long hair. So I started using this product and I loved the results from the first wash. The shine booster is what I use before I wrap my hair. I let it air dry and I don’t even have to use the flat iron, if I didn’t want to. One day I sent a friend to get me a relaxer and she got Motions. Well I am not afraid to try anything and I was in a rush to get my hair done. Or else I wouldn’t have sent her. Anyways, the results were nothing like what I was used to. My hair was hard and it even broke off! I wasn’t mad but I surely learned my lesson. I’m sticking to what I know works. Anyone skeptical to try this product, I’ll tell you, it’s worth your money and time. Those are two things you can’t get back. Try it, if you don’t like it would be astonished.
Excellent product, Soft Sheen Carson are the best for solving oily skin problems.
